Join us as we figure out parenting one small adventure at a time—and do our best to raise good little humans along the way.
My goal as a dad is pretty simple: spend real time with my kids, get outside when we can, try new things together, and help them build the skills they will need someday. That might mean a family adventure, a board game at the kitchen table, a messy project, or a conversation about something bigger than they expected.
A big focus around here is helping our kids learn financial literacy, responsibility, confidence, and entrepreneurship through real-world experiences—not long lectures. Our family has started trying small kid-business projects, and I will be sharing the wins, the mistakes, the weird ideas, and everything we learn along the way.
If you are looking for family activities, parenting ideas, outdoor adventures, practical money lessons for kids, or a little encouragement to try something new with your own family, you are in the right place.
Come along as we explore the Pacific Northwest, play games, build small businesses/projects, make a few messes, and work toward raising capable, kind, confident kids.
There will probably be snacks.

Hi there! I'm That PNW Dad.
Apparently, I'm supposed to tell you something interesting about myself. So here goes: I'm a vegetarian... except for bacon... and occasionally chicken...But other than those minor technicalities, I'm definitely a vegetarian.
Now that you've had a taste of the top-tier content you can expect around here, go ahead and click that green button below. I promise the adventures are better than my dietary consistency.
